But first, May. It was Mother's Day. I received some terrific cards:
Summer is here at last. 90 degree days, staying up too late, riding bikes and going to the beach. Only a week and a half left of school for the kids, and I've wrapped up my spring semester of music classes. Fiona will find out who her 2nd grade teacher will be on Friday. But first, May. It was Mother's Day. I received some terrific cards: Here are some more creations from the past month: Rowan has reached some milestones: he can wipe his butt (I'm serious, this is huge), and he can pump on the swing, and, after much apprehension, he has given up his tricycle and is using his big-boy bike with training wheels full-time. I have to pause and check my math every time I think it, but he's almost 5. Five is really old. I can't fully comprehend that he's aged this much, but he nearly fills the sofa when he stretches out and I guess math doesn't lie. Fiona is wrapping up first grade a more confident, more athletic, more adventurous, more literate, more humorous child. And now... Summer! We went to the beach yesterday. The water was 61 degrees -- way too chilly for me, but the kids dug it. And the rocky outcrop. Looking forward to more warm-weather adventures.
