So. Another year has passed. What transpired in Fiona's fourth year? Looking back at birthday #3 for comparison, Fiona still loves pink and purple (though specifically she enjoys magenta and deep purple). Fiona gave up her nap, but goes to bed at 7. She still wears a diaper to bed (can wake up soaked in her own urine and thinks she's sweaty. Is she going to hate me for mentioning that?).
Fiona is a great performer. She dances, she sings, she tells jokes, she tells stories. For example, check out this video we recorded at Lala's house. She loves a good costume and accessories. She's a girly girl in so many ways, and yet she loves examining and holding bugs (putting some of her skittish male friends to shame). The other day, she let a cicada walk around on her bare foot.
Favorite shows du jour: Magic School Bus. Dora. Favorite toys: My Little Pony. Princess Barbies. While stuffed animals are still good for bedtime (Jahada Dog, a little chihuahua with a hole in his head, is #1 at the moment), they don't get the same play they used to. Favorite foods: chocolate chip granola bars. Toast with butter. Cinnamon Chex. Strawberries. Baby carrots. Noodles with butter. Pizza. Just discovered peanut butter and banana sandwiches, and ate chicken for the first time (and liked it), and has figured out that sometimes when I say "sausage" I'm actually disguising a "meatball," but she's okay with that. Sadly, milk has fallen out of favor, as has broccoli and shaky cheese.
I think the big difference between 3 and 4 is social. Fiona is getting the hang of meeting new people and making new friends.
AND, of course, Fiona made the best little friend of all this year: Baby Brudder.
