Q: What do you like to do at Pilgrim (school)? (9/10/12)
Fiona: Read a book.
No surprise there, though Fiona has become more social as the year has progressed. In the Fall, Mrs. Watson told me that Fiona tended more toward parallel play, primarily spending her free time sitting on the floor with a book by herself. Now when I drop her off, she runs to Ava or Jane or one of the other girls. Her schedule is becoming very full with playdates. It's sweet to see how they enjoy each other.
Q: What is your favorite color? (9/17/12)
F: Purple and pink.
Yep. Usually it's "purple and pink mixed together."
Q: How do you know it is Fall? (10/1/12)
F: Leaves falling.
Q: What are you going to be for Halloween? (10/22/12)
F: A princess and fairy.
For the school celebration, she opted not to wear her fairy wings, though she did carry a magic wand, so perhaps she was a magical princess.
Q: What are you thankful for? (11/5/12)
F: For cookies.
Ahem. Some of the kids listed family members. Just saying.
Q: What did you do for Thanksgiving? (11/26/12)
F: I go to my grandpa's house and had Thanksgiving at their house. I didn't like the chicken.
This is essentially true, if you change "grandpa" to "granddad" and "chicken" to "turkey." She spit the turkey out. To review, Fiona loves LOVES hot dogs and sausage, but she does not eat anything else in the meat category. She has not yet realized that hot dogs and sausage are (mostly) meat.
Q: What is your favorite cookie? (12/3/12)
F: Chocolate with mint.
Right around this time, we mashed up Andes mints and mixed them into a batch of cookies. Yum. Obviously made an impression.
Q: If you could talk to Santa, what would you say? (12/10/12)
F: A gingerbread.
She obviously seeks to confuse Santa.
