The boy loves food. Pretty much anything you offer him -- and anything you're eating for that matter -- looks good to him. For example, today's lunch: two jarred purees, the remains of two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (no peanut allergy! Hooray!), blueberries, cheese, turkey, water. He only stopped eating because his friend Lucia needed the highchair. It's nice to have such an enthusiastic eater.
His eyes continue to confound the masses: they are brownish/bluish with a bold gray ring around them. I think I'll call them hazel, though people continue to say they're green.
Rowan decided to make our Ocean City trip especially memorable by going on a nursing strike effective Monday through Friday. All of the sudden, he just didn't want to nurse. On Monday when I offered, he pushed away and cried. By midweek, he just seemed disinterested. On Friday, he may have toyed with the idea, but it wasn't until Saturday that he was back on board. Various Google searches lead me to believe he was distressed by the change in his routine and/or teething (he remains toothless but he's been gnawing more than ever on his fingers). So in between fun vacation activities, this mama ran various errands for a breast pump, fenugreek supplements, and formula. Phew! While these trips gave me the opportunity to explore the area a bit, I am glad that we are back on track.
