Here's to a delicious end to 2017...
We thought way outside the box this year. Initially, Fiona'd wanted to be a headless man, but at the 11th hour, she wasn't satisfied with the costume, and Secret Service Agent was born. Rowan consistently wished to be a Dead Kitten. So he wore his skeleton jammies for the second year in a row, but this time added some ears from our dress-up box, and I fashioned a tail and a collar from a ripped pair of Fiona's black leggings. Fiona painted on his nose and whiskers. Rowan recently learned what RIP means, so he requested that we put that on the back of his costume. Fiona and Dada went father-daughter camping again, this time with a smaller crew (just Bea, Rebecca, and their dads). Fiona liked the smallness, though she missed some of her buddies. There was canoeing and hiking and lip balm-making and s'mores. Rowan has created some great artwork at school lately: Fiona's last cheer/football game is tomorrow; the forecasted high is 38. Ugh. The production of Elf Jr. takes place the first weekend of December. Next up: basketball. And maybe more theater. Rowan continues with private swim lessons. I asked him if he'd like to take a robotics class, but he declined, saying he'd like to build a robot at home.
